TheWell system includes an exclusively developed filtration system capable of removing all types of particles and odors from any water, including Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Fluoride, Lead, Radium, Selenium, viruses, bacteria, hormones, pesticides, pharmaceutical traces, and microplastics. TheWell incorporates the same type of professional water filters used by many major bottling plants. The 3-stage filtration system consists of: A 1-Micron Sediment Filter that filters out all larger particles and dirt in order to protect the reverse osmosis membrane from sediment build-up that would shorten its life span and reduce efficiency. An Activated Carbon Filter, very effective in removing chlorine and other particles that create bad taste or odor in water. A Reverse Osmosis Filter made of a semi-permeable membrane that is the most efficient way to clean harmful particles from water. TheWell system uses a very high-efficiency reverse osmosis membrane that not only filters any ions, molecules or larger particles found in water, but does this at high speed.
Technology
We had to tackle the complex challenge of efficiently cleaning tap water of all pollutants, then instantly adding back precise doses of minerals. Having solved these engineering challenges, we also had to develop a compact high-performance boiler that is capable of producing 1.5 liters of water at 90°C in less than 6 minutes. By designing such a fast, high capacity system, all LANG drinks are prepared instantly without the need for any built-in storage tanks that can contaminate cleaned water. TheWell contains a sophisticated control system to ensure that all parts of the machine work correctly at all times. To get the job done, we incorporated load cells as well as smart sensors, which continuously monitor all aspects of the machine including pumps, valves, and boiler. This ensures that water is properly filtered, the correct heating temperatures used, and exact dosages of minerals and flavors administered. All this had to be offered at a low cost, in a compact package, free-standing without any installation required. As a result of using cutting-edge solutions, TheWell is now packed with numerous patented and patent pending technologies.

Self-cleaning & no installation needed
TheWell is easy to set up, requires no installation and next-to-no maintenance.
TheWell has no internal water storage: unlike almost all other standalone filtration solutions, TheWell filters the water as it serves it. This avoids post-filtration contamination and ensures that the water we have cleaned remains clean.
To make life even easier, TheWell is self-cleaning. An integrated daily rinsing program is automatically performed to kill off bacteria and germs while removing all flavor residues for your clean water.
Exchanging mineral and flavor LANGPAK

Swapping out LANGPAKs is even simpler. The lid at the top gives you access to the LANGPAK containers.
Locations A and B are for mineral containers. With one LANGPAK each of minerals A and B, TheWell will produce 250 litres of mineralized water.
Location C is for flavor containers. You can swap between LANGWATER+ flavors whenever you want, and TheWell will remember how many servings each pack has left.
Exchange of filter cartridges
LANG filters are built to last, so we recommend changing the filters after every 3.000 liters of clean water, or every 2 years.
Switching filters is simple. In just three steps you can remove the old cartridges and replace with new ones to continue enjoying your LANGWATER
Machine washable jars
The tap and clean water jars are made of plastics free of BPA (bisphenol) and they are built to contain hot liquids. They can be washed in a dishwasher using a normal wash program (with temperatures of 80°C or below) and standard detergents for plastic products. To remove limescale build-up in the tap water jar, simply soak it in citric acid descaler (1:35 solution) for 60 minutes before rinsing.
Designed by Industrial Facility
TheWell has been designed by renowned London based studio Industrial Facility led by Sam Hecht. The role of design is to allow a new technical innovation to feel natural. TheWell compresses 3 different functions – purification, heating and flavouring – into one architecture. We made the process visually simple by how the product is arranged – tap water is entered on the left, with controls in the centre. On the right, A BPA-free, clear jug containing clean, healthy water can move naturally to the table or to the refrigerator. “It has a positive impact on the environment, both the one that we live in locally and the one we inhabit globally”, says Sam Hecht.
